All browsers require HTTPS and a user gesture for microphone permission. Hardware-change events and browser-provided labels can vary by platform.
MIME selection
The recorder prefers audio/webm;codecs=opus and selects a supported fallback when necessary. Browser capability is detected rather than assumed.
Resource cleanup
The facade owns mutable browser resources and safely cleans up streams, timers, AudioContext, and generated object URLs.
